Laura and Jason live near Stillwater, MN. They like to hike, bike, boat, fish, be outdoors and travel. Bone Lake Escape is intended to be their eventual retirement home. One of the Best Stays We’ve Ever Had! Our family of 6 (plus a baby and dog) had an incredible stay at this cabin. The open floor plan, warm and clean atmosphere, and stunning deck overlooking the lake made it feel like a true getaway. The fenced-in dog area, flat yard, and plenty of parking makes it perfect for families. The hosts thought of everything — from extra makeup wipes to firewood and s’mores kits. Even though we didn’t use it all, the attention to detail was amazing. Close to boat and pontoon rentals, with outdoor seating for meals, this place truly has it all. We can’t wait to come back — absolutely over-the-top in the best way!

The property was gorgeous. We enjoyed sitting on the deck, by the fire pit and on the dock overlooking the lake-very peaceful. The home was beautiful, well kept up, and well-stocked with what we needed for our stay. Loved the structure and decor. There were four of us there, siblings spending time together to honor the memory of our mom who passed almost 10 years ago. Lots of laughs, a few tears, and some great discussions. We all agreed that it was a home we could see ourselves coming back to.

We had a wonderful mom and daughter weekend at this gorgeous home! The location and lake view was beautiful – within an hour of arriving, we saw swans, eagles, a heron, loons and an otter. The open living space and big windows made it a great spot for relaxing inside, and the furniture and beds were super comfortable. We also enjoyed kayaking on the lake, drinking coffee on the dock and sitting around the bonfire. Like other guests have said, the kitchen was stocked with everything you could need and the appliances were top notch. The hosts were responsive and the house guide was comprehensive and clear. We would absolutely stay here again!

Bone Lake Escape is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! The photos don’t do the house justice! Laura has thought of every detail! We spent 3 nights here for our Sister’s Weekend! The kitchen is stocked with everything you might need to cook with! The bathrooms are stocked with all of the BEST products. Everything is labeled so you can find what you need! The house it totally accessible for those that need it! The beds and pillows are so comfortable! If you are looking for a place to get away, this is it! They have thought of everything! We will be back!
